Attention, Disniacs: Disney Cruise Line (DCL) announced yesterday that they will be setting sail from New Orleans for the first time in early 2020.
Starting in 2020, the Disney Wonder will embark to the Caribbean and Bahamas from New Orleans, marking the first time DCL will have a home port in Louisiana. "The Disney Wonder will embark on six cruises during this limited-time season from New Orleans, including four-, six- and seven-night Western Caribbean sailings; a seven-night Bahamian cruise; and a 14-night Panama Canal voyage, departing Feb. 7 through March 6," states a company press release; for sail dates and more information on booking, you can visit the Disney website here.
Of course, you can tack on more time in NOLA before or after your cruise, venturing through the very town that inspired Disney's animated hit The Princess and the Frog andthe much-loved Southern getaway.
In addition to the New Orleans news, DCL also shared that they will be making a return to Hawaii after a five-year break with two nine-night cruises. DCL will also return to Puerto Rico in 2020 for two seven-night journeys departing from San Juan.
Bookings for all of these itineraries will open to the public next Thursday, October 4th. Who's ready to take on Crescent City with Mickey, Minnie, and the crew?
