Just when you thought camping, glamping and adventurous vacations in tiny abodes were *the thing,* the pendulum swings and big is back in.
Yep, according to a new report from vacation rental company HomeAway, demand for castle and estate rentals rose by almost 55 percent and 25 percent, respectively.
But why the big (heh) shift? According to the report, it’s an age thing. Older millennials are booking more family vacations with grandparents, kids and the whole clan staying in one place. And larger rental homes tend to maximize cost efficiency. Paying less for more people? Sounds like a win to us. (And Granny wants her castle,.)
Can we just say, we kinda called this one? Like, who doesn’t want to stay in a castle?
